The Secretariat of the Samaj is responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the Seva Samaj. Its primary responsibilities include the management of an email and SMS database of the community, maintenance of the Samaj website, the timeous preparation and distribution of minutes and notices to the community and of maintaining an office on the premises.

Besides the above-named functions, the secretariat is also responsible for establishing proper governance procedures and processes. To this end, the Secretariat has assisted in the drawing up of the Constitution, the Samaj Code of Conduct to which all officials need to abide by, a financial and administrative manual, assisting the various portfolios in devising their policies, assisted in the drawing up of leases and contracts and generally serving as the custodian of the Samaj Constitution.
