In order to cater for the many ad hoc activities that are not catered for in the day to day responsibilities of the various portfolios, a Special Projects portfolio was formed in 2009. This portfolio has the following long-term aims and objectives:

• New Property Development in Marabastad (12 Erven): Project Barkat
• To create a politically and socially conscious community
